TLC261 ~ Again

Warning: The pictures are kinda off 'cuz of the shape of the basket, but I think you will get the idea.

I created this basket on Monday for the It's In the Pieces -- Try a New Technique challenge. I believe the tutorial is on SCS, but I cannot find it right now, and as you know I have limited time this week with Brandon being sick.

You can make this out of 6", 9" or 12" square of card stock or DP. I made this one out of 12" x 12" Whisper White CS, and then decorated each square with Petals and Paisley DP.

If you need a list of the punches I let me know and I will post them tomorrow.

Stamping Royalty Challenge #5

This week's challenge on Stamping Royalty is to create anything but a card. I have been creating these little animal cracker boxes (seen here, here, and here) to hold Valentine's treats for Brandon's class. I decided that I wanted to do a pretty one for his main teacher.

For this box I used the Bella Rose DP. This DP is so beautiful I just love it, I wish it wasn't retired. Did you see that I created a puffy flower to go on top -- too cute huh?

Holiday Bag

Isn't my coloring beautiful on this bag? Just kidding, this is a rub-on -- but it is rREALLY pretty!!

I couldn't sleep last night. That's been happening a lot lately. I think that's why I have been able to post things here twice a day. I am sure that my energy will poop out soon -- so beware. I was going to create some cards, but then I decided to clean out our Computer Cabinet. It has been a scary site for a while. Everyone just stuffs everything in there. It was so full that when you put something in there you had to close the door REALLY fast, so things wouldn't fall out. While I was cleaning it out I found all kinds of stuff -- like these Rub-ons. I think I bought them at an "After-Christmas" sale in 2000.

I adhered the rub-on onto a piece of Not Quite Navy card stock. Then mounted it on a layer of whisper white and basic black. Then I used Sticky Strip to attach it to this plain white bag. Presto, I have a cute bag for the Holidays. That is one more project for my stash for next year. I have the Post-It Note Holders and these bags, am I on a roll or what?

Another Post-It Note Holder

Remember the post-it note holder that I created? I used Dawn's tutorial again, but this time I did one just like hers -- well with the In-colors. This one is smaller than my original, it is 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" -- isn't it cute?

Post-It Note Holder

I created 2 cards for the Stampin 411 Challenge, but my batteries are dead -- so no pictures. So you get to see a project that I created a few days ago.

I picked up several Snowflake post-it note pads at Michael's a few days ago. They were $.33 (yep -- 33 cents). I decided to make little post-it note holders with Dawn's tutorial. My measurements are a little different. Her pads are 3" x 3" and mine are 3-3/4" x 3-3/4", but you get the idea. I am going to try and create several Christmas projects throughout the year so I am not scrambling at the last minute.

Thank You Card Box

Here is another box that I made with the tutorial from SCS that I showed you here. I changed the dimesions a little. The box measures 4-3/8" x 4-3/8" (enough to fit the envelopes that come with this package.) I was able to fit 8 cards with matching envelopes.

I made these thank you cards for my boss. She hands out thank you notes for everything -- she is really a sweetie.

The cards are very simple. I stamped the image and the sentiment from Fresh Cuts directly on the front of the note card. I attached a sheet of cardstock on the inside to show through the cut-out. I also stamped the flower from this set, cut it out, and attached it to the center of the cut-out with a white brad. -- So simple.

Little Box

Boy it is difficult to take a good picture of something with a window sheet. If the picture was good, then there was glare on the plastic. If there was no glare then the picture was terrible. I hope you can see this little box, it really is pretty.

I created this box with the "Tag Box" tutorial on SCS. It is very easy to create, the only difficult part was scoring the window sheet. I found that if you line a ruler up on the score line, and then fold the window sheet over the ruler to score -- it work out pretty good.

The tutorial shows that you can create gift tags and place them in the box, but there are so many things you could put in it. I chose to put some more tea light candles in mine (just like the ones that I created for my drawer box) . I think this would be a great gift for a hostess or maybe a teacher -- or I guess anyone.

Holiday Tag Envelope

Here is a tag envelope holder that I created with a tutorial from Andrea. This was the Week 11 project from her "12 Weeks of Christmas". This envelope holds 10 gift tags. Isn't it pretty. I created one with a whisper white ( the open one) and one with real red (the closed one). I'm not sure which one I like better. What do you think?

This is another Gift Card Purse like the one yesterday. This time I used the snowflade DP from the Holiday Mini.

Isn't this adorable? It is a little purse to hold a gift card. I created this with a tutorial that I saw on Angie Juda's site (Chic 'N Scratch).

I used the DP from the Holiday Mini. This is the first one, I used the flocked DP. ( I will show you another one tomorrow with the snowflake DP from that same package.) I was able to create 4 of them from one sheet of DP.

One Sheet Wonder

Remember the Matchbook project that I created here? I mentioned that I did one with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. These 2 cards are from that set.

More Animal Cracker Boxes

Here are more of the Animal Cracker Boxes that I showed here. These use the Pink Flamingo too. I have created 12 of them, only 18 more to go.

Drawer Box

Remember the little drawer box that I created here? Well I did another one -- only this one is smaller. I made this box measure 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" -- perfect to hold 4 tea light candles. Now that I look at the box, I think it needs ribbon -- I'll add some later.

Several ladies out there have made LOTS of these tea light candles. I made mine with the snowflake from the Level 1 Hostess set from the Holiday Mini catalog. They are so simple!!!

You stamp your image on tissue paper. Punch a 1/8" hole in the middle of the image (this is where the candle wick goes). Then punch your image out with your 1-3/8" circle punch. Feed the wick through the hole and place the tissue paper right on top of the candle. Place the tea light on a flat surface -- DO NOT hold the candle with your fingers, it gets HOT -- don't ask me why I know this ;o). Hold the tissue paper down with a pair of tweezers and heat the tea light with your heat gun. When you see that the wax has melted over the tissue paper stop and let it cool. Neat idea huh?

Game Tablet

I am home with a sick kid today. I finished everything that I could do for work -- so I thought I would try to create one of the game tablets that Andrea's (Sunny Stampin') sister Sophia created. This was "Week 8" of the 12 weeks of Christmas projects. Those two are just amazing, go visit.

The boys love playing games, especially card games. Being boys, they are so competitive -- they always want to win. Now they have little pads of paper to keep score. I thought these would be good stocking stuffers -- don't ya think?

I purchased the pads at Staples. They come in a 3 pack, and they measure 3-1/2" x 5-1/4". The Game label was printed off on the computer and colored in with SU Markers. Be very careful if you do this -- the printer ink smudges. I think I might have messed up my So Saffron marker -- OH NO! The Designer paper named "Jackpot", and it is in the current catalog.

Animal Cracker Box

This is a little box that I created with a tutorial from Tracy Harp's site (Inky Doodles). She created this box to hold Animal Crackers, but I think I am going to use it to hold goodies for Brandon's Class for Valentine's Day. I know, I know -- it's not even Christmas, and I am talking about Valentine's Day -- shame on me.

I used the Pink Flamingo DP. Each box uses approximately a 1/2 of a sheet of DP. I was able to create 12 boxes with 6 sheets of DP.

Stocking Gift Card Holder

I created this little stocking gift card holder yesterday. It is this weeks project from Andrea's (Sunny Stampin) 12 weeks of Christmas. It is so adorable!! The top pivots on a brad so you can slide the gift card in the stocking.

Pizzazz Matchbook

Here is another Matchbook holder with cards that I created with Andrea's tutorial. I used the Petal Pizzazz stamp set for this one.

I have lots of Tangerine Tango card stock left, and I am sorry to say that it is not one of my favorite colors. I decided to use it and see if I would like it better. I think these cards are pretty, but I still don't really like the orange.
