WT266 & Stampin' Royalty #15

We need to finish up our Science projects tonight -- so this will be a quick post again.

I had such a difficult time photographing this card. I gave up -- this is the best one, and it's not very good at all. So sorry!! This is for the Way to Use It -- (The Passage of Time) and the Stampin' Royalty (Keep It Simple) Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Stamping 411 ~SSC144 & Stampin Royalty

Just a quick post -- I received my Bashful Blue satin ribbon today, so I just HAD to create a card with it. I created another Easter card similar to my Saffron one that you can see here. I used the sketch from Stamping 411, and it is also for the Stampin Royalty Easter card Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Stamping Royalty Challenge #5

This week's challenge on Stamping Royalty is to create anything but a card. I have been creating these little animal cracker boxes (seen here, here, and here) to hold Valentine's treats for Brandon's class. I decided that I wanted to do a pretty one for his main teacher.

For this box I used the Bella Rose DP. This DP is so beautiful I just love it, I wish it wasn't retired. Did you see that I created a puffy flower to go on top -- too cute huh?

You can find the tutorial for the puffy flower here.
Tracy Harp's tutorial for the animal cracker box can be found here.

Stamping Royalty Challenge #4

I forgot to post this -- Sorry!! Here is my card for the Stamping Royalty Challenge #4. This week there is a sketch challenge. Now I know that I do not have a tag shape on my card, but I hope this still counts. I tried several different sizes for the tag, but none of them seemed right.

Brandon and I have been making his Valentine's cards for his class, so I have quite a few scraps of the Sending Love DP. I was able to do this card with almost only scraps. After I finished adding all the strips of DP it looked so pretty and sparkly -- so I just couldn't cover it up with the tag.

Corie

SR#3

I received an email update this morning from Stampin411, and I saw a post about using the new Scallop Trim border and corner punches to make mats for you cards. The instructions were from one of the operators, Gretchen Barron (WOW is she TALENTED!!). She explains everything so you can understand. While I was blurfing through her site I saw her Take it to the Top Tuesday post. She uses the Vintage Vogue stamp set to make designer paper. Go look it is fantastic!! So that was the inspiration for this card. It's for the challenge at Stampin' Royality -- one layered cards.

I used Post-it notes to mask the front of my card. I used Tempting Turquoise on the big flower, Orchid Opulence on the small flower, Green Galore on the vines, and Yo Yo Yellow for the flower centers -- sponging behind each. I removed the post-it notes and stamped the sentiment in Orchid Opulence. I tried to tie a bow with the three ribbons, but it was too difficult -- so I tied a knot instead.

Thanks for stopping by -- don't forget to scroll down to see this morning's card. I did 4 challenges in one.

Big smiles,
Corie
