This is the second card that I created for Beate's Weekly challenge. I used the new Papertrey paper, ribbon and inks. Nichole has really outdid herself with this new stuff. She will be releasing a new set on Saturday, so stop by and purchase something!!

I love this sketch. It make simple, yet oh so pretty cards.

Going Pink Donation

How is it November 1st already? Where has the year gone? My birthday is Sunday, and it feels like I just had my birthday. Rick is taking me to the beach for the weekend. He has taken me to the beach every year for my birthday for the last 17 years. Wow, we have been together that long -- amazing. The best part is the kids stay home. Not that I do not love my kids, but an entire weekend with just hubby -- is a once a year thing.

Remember this post, the one about my donation? I ended up having 95 comments so I am rounding it up to $100. I will be mailing the check to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure next week. Thanks to everyone that helped me reach my goal!!

This is the only thing that I have created lately. I made some more Designer Paper with stamps. I used the Beautiful Blooms stamp set from Paper Trey. I am going to take this with me this week, and create some cards with it.

Think Pink Again

We went camping for the weekend. So I have not been around. I have a few minutes before unpacking so here is another Think Pink card. I stamped the background with the Paper Trey stamps, and the image is from My Favorite Things. I will catch up with every one's site this week. ---I seem to be saying that a lot lately.

I hope everyone had a FANTASTIC weekend.
BIG Smiles!!

Two for the Price of One

This card is for the CC136 color challenge this week, and the SC142 sketch challenge from a few weeks ago. I just received the Think Pink stamp set from My Favorite Things. I have been itching to create several cards with this set. I have so many RAK backs to do, so I thought that this would be the perfect set to use. Today the colors for the color challenge were pinks. Don't ya think that Emily was trying to tell me something?

I used my Beautiful Blooms set from Paper Trey along with the Think Pink set to create my own personal designer paper. I stamped the flowers with Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink, and Barely Banana. Then I stamped the ribbon with pixie pink. I do not know whether you can see, but I then stamped the word Believe in Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink. What do you think -- pretty huh?

I am still having trouble with spacing on blogger. I know I am being anal, but these extra spaces are really bothering me. Is it better to have a site with Typepad or Wordpress.

RAK and SOOOOO busy

HI everyone!!! I have not been able to do anything but school work this week. We had 2 science projects due this week, and nobody told me until Monday night. Amazing how they forgot all about the projects over the weekend. We are finishing everything up tonight, so just a very quick post.

I promise I will catch up on every one's sites this weekend. I have not been able to blurf at all this week -- GASP!! BTW -- my rear is on the mend. Wearing pantyhose this week has been a little painful, but I am managing. Thanks to everyone for thinking about me. I really appreciate the kind words. The bruising on my skin is finally fading. Now I just need to wait for the bone chip to heal.

Here is a RAK that I received from Amanda, Simple Sentiments. She sent this card along with the Holiday SWAPS. Isn't this beautiful!!! She used the Butterfly Kisses stamp set from Paper Trey. Go check out her site, everything is so BEAUTIFUL!!

Speaking of Paper Trey, I received several set this week as an early Birthday present. I am hoping to play with them this weekend.

For Victoria

This card is for Victoria. She is a young girl that has been diagnosed with cancer. You can read about her here. Many of the ladies in the stamping world are sending her card, and this one is mine.

This card is also for the sketch challenge for this week SC142. I made my own DP again with the Paper Trey flowers. The little rhinestones are from Marcella by K. I do not remember whether I purchased them at Michael's or AC Moore, but I am sure I used my coupon.

Stamps: Texted Box Inks: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pixie Pink Paper: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pixie Pink, Whisper White Extras: Corner rounder punch, dimensionals, rhinestones

Couldn't Stay Away All Day

I am going crazy. I cannot sit still (or should I say lie still) all day, so I did this one card.

I love how the bottom turned out. (better IRL) I used Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, River Rock, and Old Olive with the Paper Trey Texted Box set. It really looks like DP. Nichole has done such a fantastic job with all her sets, she includes many different sized stamps. I am not so happy about the top, but I have promised myself that I am not going to be so hard on myself any more.

What do you think, is it to busy up top, maybe I should just stamp the words, and not all the flowers.

Stamps: Texted Box Inks: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, River Rock, Old Olive Paper: Blue Bayou, Old Olive, Whisper White Extras: Corner rounder, small & large oval punch, artichoke ribbon

Big Happy Day

Look what was in my mailbox yesterday. A card from Allison. You all know how much I love Allison!!! I was so tickled to receive a card from her. I love this -- I think it is gorgeous!!!. I really love the black leaves -- they seem to pop off the card.

Then I received an email from Dawn, Dawns Stamping Thoughts. She told me that she had received my package of cards for the troops. In the package, I also sent her a little card to thank her for all her inspiration, (go check out her site to see it). I am so honored that she liked my card enough to post a picture. (**BIG happy grin**). Dawn is definitely one of the stamping Queens, I have CASE many of her cards. She is such a creative lady -- and funny too.

Have a great day -- thanks for stopping by.

I am cheating

OK, technically I am cheating. This is for Jen's Candy challenge. We were to create a card using a piece of clothing for inspiration. Well I did this card for Beate's challenge, and I really like it. That is so unusual, as I have said before I am my own worst critic. I have made 2 cards today, and I love them both. It's a miracle. Well the clothing pictured behind the card is a blazer for work. I have a very plain wardrobe. I have suits for work, so not very many prints. This jacket qualifies though. So read this post for details.

For Beate's Sketch Challenge

I have been wanting to do a bug with the petal set for a while. Well when I saw Beate's sketch challenge for this week I decided to use my lady here.

The wings are stamped with rose red and cut out. The head and body are punched out of black cs with the 3/4" circle punch. I added the black dots in the center because it seemed plain, but I did not want any other images with my lady.

Stamps: In the Spotlight, Baroque Motifs, Text Style (Papertrey) Inks: Rose Red, Basic Black Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black Extras: Dimensionals, black marker, 1 1/4", 1 3/8", and 3/4" circle punches.

SC129

I am behind on all my challenges. This is for SC129 from last week.

My goal this year is to do my holiday cards early. Last year I sent out very few, mainly to out of town relatives. So I this is my first for the year. I decided to do the snowman from "Holiday Tag Team" with soft colors. I used my POP designer paper and my Marvy Punches. The sentiment is from PaperTrey's Faux Ribbon set. I love all the words in this set. ALL the phrases fit in the small oval punch. (I think they planned it that way). I decided not to punch the corners out, but I think next time I will round the corners or use the ticket punch to coordinate with the scallop punch.

Stamps: Holiday Tag Team, Faux Ribbon Inks: Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, Bordering Blue, Black Staz On Paper: POP, Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White Extras: Marvy punches, Silver Brads, White Organdy Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Tool kit, dimensionals

Little Lady

I love this stamp set, well I love all the Paper Trey Sets. A girl's comforter that I saw in the Room for Kids catalog inspired this card.

I sketched out the card on a piece of paper. Then I traced over the lines with a pen with my card stock underneath, (to score the lines). Next I stamped the flowers and the lady bug. After that I drew the lines in with a black marker. I colored in the blocks with markers (don't look to close 'cuz you can see all the booboos), and then I did the dots free hand with the markers.

I am really happy with the idea of this card. I think next time I will stamp the flowers and ladybug on scrap paper and pop them up.

Stamps: Little Lady, Faux Ribbon Inks: Basic Black, Real Red, Yo-yo Yellow, Green Galore, Pixie Pink. Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black Extras: Gingham ribbon, Large and Small oval punches, dimensionals
