Here is my card for Mercy's Sketch Challenge and today's Way to Use it Challenge on SCS. Today we were to use something new or do a new technique. Well I just picked up this DP from Michael's, so I decided to use that for my new thing.

MMSC34 & SC261
I need a birthday card for a boy, so I decided to get out my Walk About Wally Stamp from High Hopes. I love this little guy. I colored him in with my Prisma Markers.

Yucky One
The boys and I had dinner out tonight (hubby had to work). Then we went to visit my MIL, so I did not have time to create a card tonight.

SC214
I was able to do the Sketch challenge for this week, SC214. I am so behind on all the challenges.
I colored my High Hopes image with my Sharpies again. This stamp is called Ice Cream for Two. I was going to put stickles on the ice cream, but this is for a boy. I will have to ask Brandon if boys like sparkles on their cards. The Designer Paper is from Basic Grey, it is called Two Scoops.
Stamps: Ice Cream for Two, Happy Birthday Written (Savy Stamps) Paper: Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Two Scoops Inks: Timber Brown Staz On, Not Quite Navy Extras: Sharpie Markers, EE Brads, Dimensionals

Simple One with Coloring
Here is a simple card that I created tonight. I used my Sharpies again. I am finding coloring to be very therapeutic. Does anyone else feel the same? I bet if I am able to purchase Copic, I will be even MORE relaxed (wink wink).
I have a set of 36 Sharpies that I purchased from Target a while ago. To be honest I bought them for the boys. Then I read on SCS that you could use Sharpies like Copics, so I stole them. I know bad mommy. The problems with these markers is that they are BRIGHT. I need some pastel colors. I do own 2 prismacolor Markers -- Cream and Eggshell. I use these two markers for the flesh on my little people.
I love this card -- bet you never heard me say that. I like the simplicity of it, I think it will be great for a little boy. I absolutely love my grass. I don't know whether you can see it very well in the picture, but it looks REAL in real life.
The stamp is from High Hopes Stamps, it is called Froggy Gift, and the Designer Paper is from K-OLOGY, it is called Addison Paper (from Michael's)
I colored this boy's hair brown, I wonder if Brandon will leave me a message -- this one does not look like him. LOL
Stamps: Froggy Gift, Circle of Friendship Paper: Not Quite Navy, Kraft, Whisper White, Addison Paper Inks: Timber Brown (Staz on), Not Quite Navy Extras: Sharpie Markers, 1/2", 1", & 1-1/8" circle punches, Cocoa grosgrain ribbon.

I Tried
I tried to do the sketch challenge today, but I could not get it to work with this image (I'll try again later). Keeping with my plan to keep my cards simple, I came up with this layout instead.

SC213
Here is my card for this weeks sketch challenge on SCS. I flipped the sketch on it's side.
I used another one of the High Hopes Stamps that I purchased a while ago, Time Well Spent. I stamped the image with Staz On, and then colored it in with my Sharpie Markers. I layers the image on DP from K.ology called Addison Paper, it is from Michael's. (another one of those darn coupons). I sponged around the edges with Soft Sky, and sponged in the middle with River Rock
I am convinced that I need better markers. I think I am going to start with Prismacolor markers first, $2 a piece is better than $6. I REALLY want Copics, but I am afraid that I will end up mortgaging the house to get them all :).
Stamps: Time Well Spent, Circle of Friendship
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Whisper White, Addison DP
Inks: Black Staz on, Old Olive, Soft Sky, River Rock
Extras: Sharpie Markers, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals, Crop-A-Dial, White Hemp, 1/2", 1", and 1-1/4" circle punches, Jumbo Eyelets.

SFYTT
I visited Taylor's Site this morning, and she has 8 (yes you read that correctly -- 8) sketch challenges for everyone. She is celebrating a year of cup cake challenges. Well I was a little over whelmed. All of those cards are absolutely stunning!!! I know I am my own worst critic, but I didn't think I could create a card that would do any justice. Does anyone else every feel that way, or am I being to hard on myself? Don't worry I will try later, I just couldn't do it this morning.

I was reading on SCS that you can use Sharpie markers just like Copics. So I found all the sharpies that the kids have, and colored this image. I didn't think about what DP I was going to use, so this is as close I could match. Next time I am picking out my DP and then color in the image. I think this turned out OK, for my first time. But all this does is make me want Copic markers even more.
