Another BIG smile

Here is another smiling flower card made with the Be Happy set. You know I did not like this set at all, that is -- until I started making these flowers. Now I love it. I CASEd this layout from the caddy (page 123). See it really is an ideas book.

I do not know whether you can tell, but the dot above the I is a small pearl. I purchased these pearls at Michael's. They are from K&Company, from the Wedding line. The pearls are half pearls, and they already have the adhesive on them. There are 5 different sizes, and 6 of each size for a total of 30 pearls in the package. I think they were $1.99, but I used my 40% off coupon. (I could not find anything else, and I HAD to use my coupon) I do love them, but I would not get them at full price -- I know I am cheap.

This is one of those cards that looks great IRL, but not so good in pictures. Hope you all like it.

Stamps: Be Happy, sentiment (LSS) Ink: Rose Red, Bashful Blue Paper: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, So Saffron, Cutie Pie DP Extras: Dimensionals, Slot and Tag corner punches, Celery Ribbon

Cutie Pie Smile

Here is another card with the Be Happy Flower. I really like the flower with the word smile in the center. It makes it such a HAPPY card.

I used a pencil erase to make the circles under the paper, neat idea huh?

Stamps: Be Happy Inks: Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery Paper: Cutie Pie DP, Bashful Blue, Whisper White Extras: Celery ribbon, Dimensionals, Pencil Eraser, 1/4" & 1" Circle punches

Be Happy with Sage

I loved the card in the caddy on page 56. They used the 2 flowers from the Be Happy set to make a bigger flower. I also loved the card on page 4 with the Fab flowers set. So I combined the two ideas and this is what happened.

This is one of the 3" x 3" cards. I should really make several of these to little cards. You see I usually sign things "Big Smiles", and this card just seems to convey my thoughts.

Stamps: Be Happy, Aida BG Ink: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow, Very Vanilla Paper: Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow Extras: Dimensionals, 1/4" & 1" Circle punches.

Mr. Snowman

Here is another example of changing colors. I used the same sketch as the Santa cards, just used Mr. Snowman this time.

I think I like the Darker colors and the Snowman the best.

Great Minds

Well great minds think alike -- isn't that how the saying goes?

I did the earth elements Santa yesterday, and I finished this one up today. On this card I used soft subtles colors. I wanted to show you how the same card can have a totally different look by changing the colors, and only the colors.

The funny thing is that Jen, Pieces of Me, had the same idea. She is running a BLOG candy challenge. She wants us to do two cards -- using the same image, but just change the colors. See what I mean -- great minds. Go check out her site!!! And best of all -- I have already done my submission for her challenge!!! (you see I am ALWAYS late)

This card is the same layout and images as yesterday's. The only thing I changed was the colors. Well, I used DP on this one instead of CS in some places.
Do you see how different the card looks with the different colors? Which one do you like best? Maybe I will do one with RR, BB, and IC to really make a difference.

Stamps: Holiday Tag Team, The Snowflake Spot Inks/Markers: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Black Staz on Paper: POP, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink Extras: Tool Kit, White gel pen, dimensionals

Holiday CASE

This is another caddy CASE. I used the layout from the Flaky Friends card, but I used Earth Elements colors, and the Holiday Tag Team stamp set. There are many of the cards in the new caddy that I want to CASE. The Fall and Winder Collection is really more of an Ideas Book, not just a caddy.

The sentiment is from the Snowflake Spot stamp set. I liked how the dotted letters looked with the faux stitching

Stamps: Holiday Tag Team, Snowflake Spot Markers: Blush Blossom, Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, Ruby Red, So Saffron, Black and White Staz on Paper: Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, Ruby Red, Confetti Cream, So Saffron POP Extras: White gel pen, tool kit, dimensionals

CASE from the New Caddy

Here is my card for the day. I CASEd the layout from the catalog. You can see it on page 41 -- the Keep Christmas set. I plan on doing several of these CASEs to show how the catalogue is really an IDEAs book.

For the true thyme layer I stamped the floral BG with Artichoke craft ink, and embossed with clear. For the marigold layer I stamped the aida BG with summer sun craft ink, and embossed with clear. The naturals layer I rolled caramel ink on with the speckled wheel. For the chocolate layer I rolled chocolate ink with the rough texture wheel. The rest is obvious, I stamped the bee, flower, and leaves and then cut them out. I think just about everything is up on dimensionals.

I really like using the craft inks and clear embossing powder. It give the card such nice texture, and it matches perfectly. What more could a girl ask for?

Stamps: Serene Sunflower, Aida, Floral Inks: Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun (craft ink too), Marigold Morning, True Thyme, Always Artichoke (craft) Paper: Chocolate Chip, Ivory Natural, Marigold Morning, True Thyme Extras: Speckled and Rough Texture Jumbo Wheels, Dimensionals, Ticket Corner Punch, Vintage Brads, Ribbon (LSS)

Don't forget about the Candy. You can see the post here.
