Puffy Flower Tutorial

I have had numerous requests for a tutorial on my poofy flowers. There are several different ways that you can create these flowers, this is the way that I like best. I hope this tutorial will help -- I am not really good at doing tutorials. Cross your fingers that this lines up when I post it, sometime Blogger messes things up more that I do.

If you do create one of the poofy flowers let me know so I can see. ~~Thanks

Thanks for stopping by. Please scroll down to see the card that I created this morning for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and the Color Inspiration on Stampin 411.

Here goes.

Supplies you will need: Scallop Circle Punch, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer or Crop-a-Dial, Brad, Paper Snips, Designer Paper or Card Stock

Step 1:

Punch 6-10 Scallop circles from Designer Paper or Card Stock. Punched out 10 scallop circles from the Cottage Wall Designer Paper

Step 2:

Stack all the scallop circles together and punch a hole in the center. If you are using a small brad use the Paper Piercer to punch this hole.

Step 3:

If you are using one of the larger brads, as I did, you can use the Crop-A-Dial to punch a 1/8” hole in the center. The Crop-A-Dial goes through all 10 layers like butter!!

Step 4:

Using your paper snips cut where the scallops meet. I cut approximately 3/8” in. In the picture I flipped up every other petal so you could see better – you do not do this to your flower. Cut each scallop circles, I stacked 3 together and cut them together. This is creates your individual petals.

Step 5:

Stack all the scallop circles together again and insert your brad.

Step 6:

Scrunch your first layer towards the middle. Scrunch this layer really tight, so you cannot even see the brad anymore.

Step 7:

Here I have completed 5 layers, and still have 5 more to go.

Step 8:

Here is the completed flower.

Stationery Box

Things are really busy again, so I do not have anything for you to see. sorry :( My life needs to slow down a little, so I can catch up.

I wanted you all to know that I completed my step-by-step instructions (with pictures) for the Stationery box you can see here. I had a difficult time saving the document in PDF format, for some reason the tables kept corrupting. I ended up saving it to 3 different documents.

I sent the instructions to several ladies, and they received it without errors. So if you would like a copy of the instructions to do a stamp camp for yourself, email me and I will send you a copy of the documents.

Big hugs and Smiles,
Corie
