IC220 ~ Lark

I saw the sketch on Stamping 411 this morning. I just love the card that Lee Conrey created, it's stunning!! I wish I had that die cut, maybe on my next order :o). I don't usually complete this challenge until later in the week, but this card was stuck in my mind.

Next up was to look at today's Inspiration challenge on SCS. This week we are being inspired by Lark. You should go visit, there is so much inspiration there -- for all types of stampers. I was drawn to this tea towel. I love the "clean" aspects of it.

So I combined the inspiration from Lee's card and the tea towel and came up with this card. I started off by creating a puffy flower from Vellum. Then I scored the whisper white cs in a diagonal pattern. Next I ran the CS through my Cuttle bug with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder. I colored the dots with my Taken with Teal marker (I need to be neater next time). The leaves were created with the 5 petal flower punch. The ribbon is the last of my teal velvet ribbon (retired). I think this ribbon is very pretty, but it is so difficult to tie.

If you haven't seen the Puffy Flower Tutorial, you can find it here.

Thanks for stopping by!!
~Corie

Stamps: With All My Heart
Paper: Taken with Teal, Whisper White
Inks: Taken with Teal
Extras: Teal Velvet ribbon, 5-Petal Flower, Scallop circle and Modern Label punches, Crop-A-Dial, Silver brads, paper snips, TWT Marker, Dimensionals, Paper Scorer, Cuttle bug, Elegant Bouquet Folder

The card inside:
I don't whether you can see from the picture of the card inside that I scored the Whisper White layer. I wanted to keep it simple so I scored 1/2" & 3/4" in on each side.
