This is the card that I am doing for my August stampin' class. This invitation is one of the double slider cards. I think this type of card is FANTASTIC for invitations. It is cute for kids cards too, they always love fun cards.
This card took so long to do. I started with the Serene Sunflower stamp set and the classic yellows and rust colors. Well I did not like that (1 in the recycle bin). Then I switched to the Wild Rose stamp set with reds and greens. I did not like that one either (2 in the recycle bin). Then I switched colors with the roses -- wasabi and bayou. That one was better, but I could see the ladies getting frustrated lining up the roses (3 in the recycle bin). Finally I settled on this combination. I THINK this one is OK, I not totally happy, but the class is tomorrow night.
Since I did this card so many time, I think I am going to try my first tutorial. Would anyone like to see a tutorial on this card, or is there one already out there? I should probably check to see if Beate did one -- her tutorials are the BEST.

Thanks for your sweet comments! I have been SOOOO bad at visiting blogs this summer! I've had absolutely no time, between holidays and outings and four kids poking at me all day (I love it, though!)
So sorry I haven't popped by...this is a really neat card...I hate it though when things take 201 tries to get it right. Looks like you hit it this time!
I have to do a tutorial or two soon too, I'm thinking it might be a lot of work, but we'll see!
love these slider cards, just made one for my nephew.
Love your card. I haven't tried one of these yet, I guess I'm going to have to soon.

This turned out beautiful. I'm sure your ladies will love making this. The colours are perfect! I'd love to see a tutorial. I saw the card in Stampin' Success magazine, but the measurements weren't there, so when I tried to make it, it was a mess! I'll have to check Beate's tutorial for measurements!
